Our vision is to glorify God by helping bruised, turned off, or hurting people, experience the grace of God, and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

"Walking with Jesus" is what we will be doing throughout the summer. We are following the gospel of Mark getting to know Jesus better, as we study who Jesus was from Peter's perspective, as recorded by Mark.
What we know about Mark's gospel:
1. John Mark is the author of this gospel written between 50-
2. Mark's source is accepted to be the eyewitness account of Peter
3. Mark accompanied Paul but then quit and went home
4. He then accompanied cousin Barnabas on his missionary journey.
While we learn much about this gospel we will always ask the question, "What does it mean to me?"
We are here for more transformation than for information.

What is your mission?
For some, it's in Africa or Ukraine. For others, it's in the home, schoolroom, or at work.
No matter how big or small, our lives are our mission field.
Pastor Randy will be in Washington D.C. this week, but can still be reached for emergencies.
Next week we will continue our "Walking with Jesus" series studying the Gospel of Mark.
Read Chapter 1 and ask yourself, "How has Jesus called me to be his disciple?"
Happy 40th Anniversary to Randy and Linda!
Have you been baptized?
Baptism is a public statement of your faith in Jesus. Many of you were baptized as infants, a step made by your parents to start you off right in your relationship with God. We believe in what is called a "believer's baptism". It is a decision by you to follow the example of Jesus and be baptized, declaring that you believe in Him as your savior and you want to live by His agenda. We are planning a baptism service in June after our usual morning service. If God is prompting you to be baptized again, or for the first time, talk to Pastor Randy!

Those battling addiction
Trout Lake Camp: It's time to register your kids or grand kids for camp this summer. We have scholarship funds available so every child from our church can attend camp w/o finances deterring them. Talk to Deb Morse for the camp week most suited for your kids and any questions you might have about Trout Lake Camp.
Speaking of kids! Are you praying for your child from the name that you drew?
If you don't remember, there are lists on the back bulletin boards!
Reminder: Children’s winter clothing is on sale right now, a great time to pick up some things for the Operation Christmas Child boxes.
Tuesday: Young @ Heart Lunch @ Lock & Dang Cafe @ 11:30am
Thursday: Women’s Group, 10am @ Park Ridge #209
Thursday Night Study is on recess until Fall
"I can do that!" Here are some opportunities for you to get involved in events that we have coming up:
We have many small spring projects around the church.
Talk to Ron Logid and simply ask, “Hey Mr. Logid! What can I do to help?”
* June 21st Ukraine Missions: Our 4 member team will leave to help with youth camps at our sister church in Kanev, Ukraine. We still need some funds for the camp supplies. Also, they have a special need for a small air conditioner for the church. If God leads you to help in either of these areas, you can designate your gift to Ukraine.
SMALL GROUPS: If you want to grow in your walk with God and get to know others, join a small group.
We have many options available.
Food Shelf Collection:
We have a bin to gather food for Hastings Family Service. Thanks for giving.
See Carmen if you have any questions.
Are you a Church Member yet?
Talk with Pastor Randy or your Shepherd about how to be in on the decision making team at Calvary.
Volunteer Opportunities: We need people to sign up to make coffee each week.
Also needed are 2 more Sunday School teachers on a rotational basis. Talk to Linda or Molly.
DISCOVERYLAND is a full hour of music, games, and Bible discovery, and surprises for children ages 4 to grade 5, which runs concurrent with the adult service upstairs.
For all of your help with the shoe boxes and the gifts for Hastings Family Service. These gifts are for more than just making people happy. Together, we make a difference for the kingdom!
