"Walking with Jesus" is what we will be doing throughout the summer.

We are following the gospel of Mark getting to know Jesus better, as we study who Jesus was from Peter's perspective, as recorded by Mark.

What we know about Mark's gospel:

1. John Mark is the author of this gospel written between 50-70AD

2. Mark's source is accepted to be the eyewitness account of Peter

3. Mark accompanied Paul but then quit and went home

4. He then accompanied cousin Barnabas on his missionary journey.

While we learn much about this gospel we will always ask the question,

"What does it mean to me?"

We are here for more transformation than for information.

Walking With Jesus

"Who do people say I am?" The question was asked by Jesus 2000 years ago, but the answer is as important today as it was when He first asked it. Who is Jesus? Is He close or distant? Personal or impersonal? Liar, Lunatic, or Lord of all?

Walking With Jesus

In Mark 8 we have another miracle meal which Jesus provides for over 4,000 people.  If you were part of that experience what would it do to your faith?

Would you have 100% confidence in Jesus as your Lord?

What is your faith depending on?   Miracles?   Answered prayer?   Life going smoothly?   At what point does God tell us to stop and believe?

Walking With Jesus

Are there people who are outside God's invitation for salvation? Are there ethnic groups which you feel should not be offered grace and forgiveness for some reason? Today we see Jesus being approached by an outsider and how He responds.

Today’s Bible lesson: Mark 7:1-23

Today Jesus is challenging those who seem to concentrate more on outward appearance than the heart. How important is it to look good? Doesn’t appearance determine how people evaluate who you are?

It was getting more and more difficult to get away from the crowds. Everywhere Jesus went they showed up, and rather than being irritated, He felt compassion for them, harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. When do you feel harassed or helpless?
